Checking the mail is a lonely venture comes almost six years after our first studio album Cheerful Sounds. The events in the world and the massive changes in this period have changed our views on things just as much as our every- day lives. Our creative work is not exempt from this. Belief in the utopian moments of personal life has faded into the background, has become questionable. Our music now appears more as a critical commentary, an observing gaze that oscillates between hope and despair. In this respect, our musical expression has found its own way. Despite our concerns, we do not close ourselves off from using artistic expression to keep the idea of the Good alive. For we write the songs we need to hear in order to hold on to a vision of a better future.
